The Full Recap
Today is Halloween… or what’s left of the holiday.
First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ORRIN!! I’m late, yes. But fashionably on time… 😉 I hope you had fun tonight; I know it’s your favorite holiday. 🙂
Now, to the crap I have to say. I went up on Saturday to White Plains to check out the Headless Horseman up in Sleepy Hollow with Laurie and her kids, Jack and Annie. Unfortunately, for multiple reasons I won’t expand upon here, it sucked. The only saving grace was the very cool magician, Vanishing Vinny, and he was hilarious and really great at what he did. The headless horseman looked like he was in a corral as opposed to being out there and scaring the living daylights out of you. Disappointing. We then went to this Japanese restaurant in Rye called Koo. The food was okay, the ambience pretty nice… but it was particularly loud that evening. I’d venture to say there were some people that dipped in the drink a little too much. It was way too overpriced for the quality of food they served. I would go for the $25-$30 dishes at Sen-nin before paying that price for their run of the mill dishes. Then again, I am thoroughly spoiled by Sen-nin; I just couldn’t go there with any old body aside from Herman. I see what he meant when he originally took me there; it IS an exceptional experience and quality of food. Not just anyone can appreciate it. In that he is very very correct.
Speaking of Herman, that’s where I spent my time on Sunday late afternoon… after playing a few hours of Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven. 😀
Today, I hooked up with someone I’d been chatting with for a few days; pretty nice guy, you know? I had a fun time. We walked around for a bit downtown… it was pandemonium down on 14th Street! Tons of people walking around… then we played some pool (I’m really taking to playing that a lot lately, I don’t know why… I really enjoy it), ate at Taisho on St. Marks, then called it a night. It WAS a bit of a hassle to get across 6th Avenue, which ended up in us seeing the parade for a spell. But the best part… the BEST part!! I got to hug a guy that was dressed up like a pint of GUINNESS! Isn’t that awesome? HAHA…. Well, I wish I got a picture of that. Gotta wait til next year as we return to some semblance of normalcy. 🙂
So, I’m home now and I think I’m going to go to bed. I’m pretty tired. I had an idea of playing some Tenchu, but… nah. I’ll play it another day. It’ll be there; it isn’t going anywhere.
